Networking with Mr Nee Pai Chee
This episode is where the students learn about the markets in the world. The episode starts of ZhuJiang brewery and later leads to a lunch networking meeting where a meaningful talk was given by Mr. Nee who is the Regional Director of International Operations of International Enterprise Singapore. The role of IE in Singapore is to help companies realize their dreams and find markets for them. He then gave an example of a big consumer market, Guangdong. It is the biggest consumer market in China and a very good alternative for companies.
Glenda realizes that the Singapore’s market is too small and thus many Singapore companies are venturing out instead. China is a good investment place because of the large population, cost performance of labor and low logistic cost. She also learns that having good connections with others is not enough, rather having the right attitude, passion and producing quality products are more important to succeed in the China market. With that, Glenda felt enlightened and ready to take on the world of business!
