Back in the hotel room, Glenda lists down what she has learnt so far from the trip.


1) Knowing the culture of a country well is important before setting up a business.
2) Having connections/relationships are important to a certain extent.
3) The ability to turn difficulties into opportunities instead.
4) R & D is important.
5) Do not adopt bad practices, rather adapt the culture.
6) It is always good to seek help when venturing overseas instead of doing everything by yourself.
7) Have the right attitude if you want to succeed .
8) Having integrity and value is important, however be flexible.
9) Give employees a sense of belonging in the company.
10) Being able to speak Mandarin is significant for doing business in China.
